Not only was it Antwerpen Autovrij today but there were many other things going on in A-town. It was supposed to be crap weather but somehow it stayed dry though it was certainly cold.

Laundry Day has come and gone again - so the end of another Antwerp Summer. For some strange reason, the weather was PERFECT - just like it has not been for the entire summer, but I am sure that will change!

I had the luck and good fortune to catch the great exhibition of Trashville at Park Spoor Noord today. In previous years they have had aviators on a fantastic voyage and "Mag ik deze dans van U?" but this year they have settled on "stands" made up from "trash". I also had the pleasure of meeting a few of the teachers and students who were savouring the atmosphere and a few Belgian Beers!

I love my Nikon D7000 but something much more portable would be nice.
After some internet research it seems to boil down to the Canon G12, Nikon P7000 or the Panasonic Lumix LX5. I would love to have taken the Nikon but it is the largest of the group and also the slowest. Slow is bad! First impressions of the LX5 are "just great" ...all I need to do now is figure out how to work with AVCHD Lite!

Unseasonally warm and sunny for a long holiday weekend. Even better, we had Thai-style weather for the Songkran festival at Park Spoor Noord. Maybe this will encourage them to do it again next year.
